Against the Clock!

Let’s say you’re just on your way out the door when a spot of wine, food or makeup appears on your clothing. What to do? Well, Resolve® can help you in a pinch with special stain removal technology. With our tips we can help you work out the best way to minimize or even completely remove a stain against the clock, with minimal fuss!

Dab Away

It’s extremely important not to smear a stain or work it deeper into fabric. Instead, simply blot the area and pull away. Try practicing it now with a damp paper cloth or tea towel. This technique draws the stain away from the fabric and prevents it from spreading. Keep this tip in mind whenever you have a stain, and make sure you always have a packet of tissues handy – they’re not always for your nose!

Consider the Stain

Different stains require different treatments. Some, like blood stains or tomato sauce stains, need a steady stream of cold water in order to break down, while many other stains, such as paint, require warm water. Certain stains, such as small food stains, may just need a quick soak in a solution of Resolve®

Use Resolve®

Dissolve a quarter of a scoop of Resolve® Oxi-Action in ¾ of a cup of water, then pour the solution onto the stain and gently work the solution into the fabric with the bottom of the scoop. Leave it to soak for up to 5 minutes, and then wash out with warm water. This should go a long way to clearing the stain away. Repeat the process if necessary.

And Dry

Now that you’ve got a bit of moisture on your clothing, the final step is to dry it quickly. A blast with a hairdryer can do wonders, but if you can spare a little longer, drying over a radiator can be much more effective. Give the area 15 minutes or so to dry, and while you wait you might want to refresh yourself after that quick work. We could recommend a tea, just careful you don’t spill it!
